Happy Halloween!

She was not happy that I had put her down.. she loves being held

 Happy Halloween!!!!  We had a GREAT, VERY FULL day!  We had an idea that Halloween might be a tad busy.. so the day before, we took some pictures of McKinley in her Halloween costume.  She was a peacock.  (I mean surely you can tell just by looking at the pictures, but just want to clarify)  :)

 I dont know what it is about girls, and how they know how to be girly.. but as soon as she put this costume on, you could tell she felt pretty.. she would twirl and giggle.  Really cute!!

 Halloween turned out to be such an eventful day, because Ward and Reese welcomed baby MERRITT MAE into the world.  She is teeny tiny.. 5 lbs 5 oz and absolutely perfect.  She has the most petite little features that are just the cutest.  I can not remember McKinley being that tiny... but she was. CRAZY!  She was alert alot of the day.  We are so so so so so thankful for this healthy baby!!!!

 After the hospital, I met Craig and the kids at Kurts office to let him see them in their costumes. And then we grabbed dinner, and then it was off to Trunk or Treat at church!

 Jackson thought he was really going to love it.  See that big smile!!!!  But he really did not love it at all.  We think he got kind of nervous around the big crowd.  If people would offer him candy he would freak out, cry and want to be held.

 McKinley, on the other hand, LOVED it.  She was too small to really play the games, but she loved walking around.. seeing people and being seen. 

 We all took a break for a little bit.. McKinley ate some of her candy. 

 And Jackson just kept asking to go to mommys car.  :(  This face, although adorable, sums up how he felt about Trunk or Treat. 

It was really a great event, with a huge turnout!  We are grateful we got to be a part! 

Craig and the kids stopped at Kurt and Amy's on the way home and had a fantastic time!  That was way more Jackson's style.. one on one time with people he loves!  He was back to his laughing happy self!

And I ran back to the hospital to spend time with the new family of three.

I got home with a full happy heart and a super tired body!
