McKinley Beth is ELEVEN months old. E.L.E.V.E.N. 11. Wow.
What a JOY she is. Baby girl is crawling like she has been doing it from day 1. She can get anywhere and everywhere she wants to be. Her most favorite room in the house is her brothers room. Because we do not have the box springs on Jackson's bed, it is the perfect height for her to pull up and feel like she is just so big. She is still not satisfied with crawling. It can be quite exhausting really, because if you are there, she wants you to be helping her walk. All. The. Time. And when you are helping her walk, she doesnt really just walk.. it is very close to a run. We might be in trouble.
Not only is she not satisfied with crawling, she is not satisfied with baby food anymore. She will eat it, but then she wants to eat our dinner as well. Jackson is wierd about eating, he will eat a ton at one meal and then hardly touch his next 2 meals. This works out perfectly for McKinley because she will try to finish whatever he has not eaten. One night, she had eaten 4 cubes of veggies, a 6 oz bottle and then, I am not kidding, at Jackson's ENTIRE plate of mac and cheese. She was eating it like she was never going to eat again. Shoveling that food in her mouth so fast, so we couldnt take it away from her.
And on the same dissatisfied note, toys that we have out specifically for her, she does not want to have ANYTHING to do with. NOTHING. She only wants to play with toys that are her brothers. Her currently favorites are the firetruck and the keyboard. She does try to eat the light on the keyboard. :) But the walker that bought specifically to help her learn how to walk.. she wont touch. And she gets absolutely LIVID if we put her in the exersauser. LIVID.
I bought her her own sippy cups, because I know that in a month, I am going to get the lecture that I should not be feeding her a bottle anymore and that she needs to be switched to a sippy cup. I am anticipating this, so I have been giving her water in her own sippy cup. As you might have guessed, she likes her sippy cup and will drink from it, and then quickly move to her brothers. :)
She is still a great sleeper. She, for the most part, goes to bed about 6 and wakes up around 7. She still takes 2 naps a day. Around a 45 minute nap in the morning and 1 1/2 hour to 2 hour nap in the afternoon. She has discovered the new trick of chewing on her crib. So, she is quickly accumulating teeth marks, we have bought some bumpers to put on the crib now though, so that she will no longer eat paint. (it doesnt contain lead.. do not worry!)
McKinley loves her Sunday School class. She is a pretty social baby. She loves loves loves to laugh, and has the most contagious smile ever. She is definitely understanding the concept of no, although she does not always listen. Her brother enjoys helping me keep her away from things that she shouldnt be playing with, by saying "noooo ma'am"
She is still wearing size 2 diapers, wearing 6-12 month shirts and dresses and 3-6 month pants/shorts safety pinned.
McKinley is our little miracle baby and we are so so so so so so proud of her!
